FIELD: electrolytic methods; electrophoresis; devices therefor.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Three-compartment electrolytic cell is used for the production of oxidising disinfectant solutions. Intermediate compartment (300) of the cell is separated from anodic compartment (200) by fibrous diaphragm (321) in intimate contact with anion-exchange membrane (320). Diaphragm (321) is formed by a network of organic polymer fibres mechanically bound to ceramic particles. Cathodic compartment (400) is separated from intermediate compartment (300) by cation-exchange membrane (340). Saturated solution of sodium chloride (510) is recycled through intermediate compartment (300). Decomposition catalyst is contained inside tank (500). Product is recovered from anodic compartment (200) - oxidising solution (220) containing free active chlorine, with a faintly-acid pH.
EFFECT: present invention makes it possible to extend the life of an electrolytic cell in which acidic solutions are produced.
