PONTOON OF TANK FOR HIGHLY VOLATILE LIQUIDS Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC B65D88/00

Abstract RU 2494027 C1

FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to storage in vertical cylindrical tanks for highly volatile liquids such as crude oil and refined products, in particular to the construction of a floating pontoon of the tank. Object of the present invention is to improve the reliability of operation of the pontoon due to reduction of the evaporation surface of the product, simplification of installation and maintenance. The pontoon of the tank for highly volatile liquids made with the ability to be mounted in the tank with refined products comprises a carpet consisting of separate elements made of aluminium sheet filled with polyurethane foam, the connecting elements, the rim seal, the support racks, spars. At that, the carpet consists of main and peripheral blocks contacting the refined products, made of aluminium sheet of box form with horizontal shelves, with inserted and fastened blocks of rigid polyurethane foam cut separately in size of the box, covered and fixed from top with the aluminium sheet. In addition, the horizontal shelves after bending are connected by the power profile to form the pontoon carpet. At that, the power profile is a "П"-shaped profile with a groove in the upper part and with bolts pressed in the center of the groove. At that, the edges of the groove have rounded edges for subsequent installation of the bent edges of two adjacent rows of blocks fixed through the seal by special clamping profiles with oval holes for the pressed bolts. The rows of power profiles form parallel rows, the peripheral smaller blocks are connected similar to the main blocks, and the part of the carpet which remains opened by the blocks is covered with the aluminium tape; the support racks of fixed or variable height are mounted on the pontoon and are based on the internal surface of the power profile and the peripheral ring.

EFFECT: increased reliability of operation of the pontoon due to reduction of the evaporation surface of the product, simplification installation and maintenance.
