FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method to reinforce a reinforced concrete column with the help of its additional external reinforcement, with subsequent closing of this reinforcement, consists in the fact that previously the protective layer concrete is removed to the longitudinal reinforcement, a new additional reinforcement is installed along the entire height of the column with the help of welding, using polymer-cement repair compounds, a protective layer is applied to close and level the column surface with rounding of its angles with a radius of 10…20 mm. Then the concrete surface is cleaned and treated with a priming compound, a layer of an adhesive compound is serially applied onto the concrete surface, a coal cloth is laid and fixed, a finishing layer of the adhesive compound is applied, which is filled with a thin layer of dry sand with size of 0.5…1.5 mm.

EFFECT: increased load-carrying capacity of a reinforced concrete column.
