FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: in an end seal containing a housing and a rotating ring tightly installed on the shaft and a non-rotating ring contacting to it, which are arranged in the above end seal and forming pairs of friction, the rotating ring is fixed against axial movement with a hydrodynamic foot made in the form of a ring fixed on the housing and contacting to the rotating ring so that a closed cavity for supply of sealing liquid is formed.
EFFECT: possible manufacture of a seal of a pack type, which is installed on a compressor in the form of an assembly and does not require reworking for actual axial dimensions.
