FIELD: mechanical engineering; sealing facilities; end face seals of rotating shafts. SUBSTANCE: end face seal has at least two rotating and two non-rotating alternating sealing friction rings secured in rotating and non-rotating movable bushings, respectively, by means of splines. Rotating friction rings are separately sealed by secondary sealing members through bellows-type springs to form hermetic chambers intended for entrapping medium under sealing. Proposed end face seal is easy to manufacture and reliable in operation. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and increased service life. 2 dwg
