FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method is implemented by means of a system containing one group of sensors for wheel-by-wheel or axle-by-axle weighing of a mechanical transport vehicle, which is arranged on a route. The second group of sensors is arranged on the route at the distance from the previous group in movement direction of not less than maximum possible length of the weighed mechanical transport vehicle. Then, readings of each of the sensors of the corresponding group are registered as the first and the second measuring readings at passage on it of each of wheels or each of axles of a certain mechanical transport vehicle. Then, average values of the first and the second measuring readings are found, which correspond to a certain wheel or an axle of the mechanical transport vehicle and they are accepted as resultant readings of weight of that wheel or axle. Then, corresponding correction coefficients are calculated at comparison of weight readings of each wheel or axle, which are measured with each of sensors of the group or each of the groups of sensors in the line of traffic of that mechanical transport vehicle with determined corresponding average values and calculated correction coefficients are used for correction of their readings at weighing of the next mechanical transport vehicle.
EFFECT: improvement of measurement accuracy without using any individual accurate weighing scales.
