FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method of production of granular filler for toilet tray for animals comprises preparing a homogeneous mixture comprising cellulose, CaCO₃ and NaHCO₃ with the components ratio, wt %: CaCO₃ - 10-40, NaHCO₃ - 3-10, cellulose - the rest, humidification of the resulting mixture, granules formation and their drying. After humidification of the mixture its extrusion is carried out using a screw extruder, the extruded material is passed through a die hole with calibration holes, after which the granules formation is carried out by grinding and pelletising the material in a perforated drum.

EFFECT: invention provides increased moisture absorption by granular filler for toilet tray for animals, as well as increased wet-strength of granules in general.
