SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for preparing a beverage from the food product contained in a capsule fed into the device in the capsule. Object of the invention is to provide means for controlling the closing force during the final stage of assembly during production of the device, in particular, to adjust possible deviations of the closing forces. The device for preparing a beverage from the food product contained in a capsule by supplying water to it from the internal or external source comprises an extraction head having an opening for inserting a capsule in the cooking chamber of the device. The cooking chamber is formed by the upper and lower closing element, and the capsule is locked by relative movement of the closing elements under the action of the closing mechanism. The closing elements can be moved between an open position for inserting the capsule into the cooking chamber and a closed position for locking the capsule in the cooking chamber. Furthermore, the device comprises control means which are connected to at least one of the closing elements to change the relative position of the closing elements and hence the closing force of the closing mechanism.

EFFECT: creation of means for controlling the closing force during the final stage of assembly during production of the device, in particular for correction for possible deviations in the closing forces.
