FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of powder for small arms. The method involves feeding powder mass into a dispersion medium - water, adding solvent, preparing powder lacquer, dispersion thereof into spherical elements, dehydration thereof with sodium sulphate and distilling the solvent. The solvent used is spent ethyl acetate collected from the previous process of forming pellet powder without separation and solvent deficit is compensated with fresh ethyl acetate. The solvent is distilled from powder elements under a vacuum in a reactor, the vacuum being created by partial pressure difference between the reactor and a cooler.
EFFECT: invention reduces labour input and loss of ethyl acetate, simplifies and provides reliability of controlling the process of producing pellet powder.
