FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: active cone turbine comprises a disc 4, rigidly fixed on the shaft, bearing units of which are installed on a jacket that closes an impeller, closed with a cover 11, creating jointly a working chamber, blades 7 and a nozzle 6 for water supply to them. The disc 4 acts as a water flow divider, cutting a water jet arriving from the nozzle 6 to the turbine, into two parts. At both sides of the disc 4 there are two truncated cones 5 fixed to it. With its top each cone 5 is fixed on the hub at the distance from the disc 4 sufficient for diversion of its spent water jet part by more than a half of the water flow width from the nozzle 6. Blades 7 are made flat in the plane of the longitudinal axis of the turbine shaft and along the curve to the wheel radius, so that each part of spent water jets from the nozzle swirls by 180°. The total vector of forces from the flow on the blade 7 is distributed closer to the side faces of the blades 7. Bearing units of the shaft are installed on the outer side of the jacket, where at the side of the nozzle 6 there are air channels, making it possible for the air flow to freely arrive into the working chamber. There is a water drain at the side opposite to the nozzle 6.
EFFECT: development of an active turbine for hydraulic power plants with high efficiency and cost-effective consumption of an energy carrier.
