FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: ice thickness determining device includes a sensing element made in the form of a hollow tight elastic cylindrical cover, as well as a microwave generator, a hollow dielectric cylinder equipped with a metal cylindrical resonator having a thin diaphragm as one of end walls and a measuring device of amplitude-frequency characteristics. The cavity of elastic tight cylindrical cover is connected to the first arm of hollow dielectric cylinder; output of microwave generator is connected to the second arm of hollow dielectric cylinder, the third arm of which is connected to input of measuring device of amplitude-frequency characteristics, the output of which is the device output.
EFFECT: enlarging functional capabilities of the device.
