FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: measuring method of refraction index of gaseous media is based on measurement of frequency of a single-frequency tunable laser tuned to maximum of the chosen mode of high-stability Fabry-Perot interferometer, when inter-mirror space is filled with gaseous medium and when its is vacuumised. Value of refraction index of gaseous medium is determined by ratio of measured frequencies in vacuum and in presence of gaseous medium.
EFFECT: improving accuracy of determination of refraction index of gaseous media.
