FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an apparatus for determining thermal conductivity coefficient of material via a flat horizontal layer technique, having an element which prevents lateral heat loss, a measuring unit with a heater, a measuring cell for accommodating a sample of the analysed material and made in form of two functionally independent elements, one with a heating function and the other with a cooling function, which are arranged coaxially and with a given spacing which provides thermal contact, a thermocouple connected to the measuring unit. The cooling element of the measuring cell is in form of coaxially arranged inner and outer rings. The inner and outer rings and the volume between them are configured to be filled with the same volatile liquid with wetting angle on the sample of the analysed material of not more than 90°. Said rings are placed on the front side of the sample of analysed material, and the thermocouple is placed on the opposite side of the sample of analysed material.

EFFECT: high accuracy of express measurements for determining thermal conductivity coefficient of material.
