SUBSTANCE: dual-band circularly polarised microstrip antenna has a metal shield, two radiating elements in form of rectangular metal plates placed on over the other in parallel to the metal shield and separated by dielectric substrates, and a coaxial transmission line with one feed point; linear dimensions of the sides of the plates are defined by relationships XL=(0.94-0.97)×YL; Xu=(0.94-0.97)×Yu, where XL, YL, and Xu, Vu are dimensions of the sides of the lower and upper plates, and the location of the feed point is defined by the following relationships: NL=(0.35-0.40)×XL; ML-(0.25-0.30)×YL; Nu=(0.32-0.36)×Xu; ML=(0.23-0.28)×Yu, where NL, ML and Nu, Mu are coordinates of the feed point relative edges of the lower and upper plates, respectively.
EFFECT: design of a small-sized dual-band circularly polarised microstrip antenna which is suitable for operation with a single-input receiver.
