FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely maxillofacial surgery and traumatology, and may be used to produce interstitial titanium-based implants, and to prepare an implant surface for applying biocompatible coatings. What is described is a method for modifying the titanium surface consisting in spot blasting of an outer surface of the implant and further chemical treatment of the outer surface of the implant, wherein the chemical treatment is combined with the ultrasound exposure in a nitrate fluoride electrolyte, and then the implant is washed in an ultrasonic bath with running and distilled water for 120 s and air drying. If the biocompatible coating is expected to be applied, the titanium surface of the implant is finished in the ultrasonic bath with ethanol for 30 seconds. The powder particle size in spot blasting can make 200-250 mcm. The chemical treatment is combined with the ultrasound exposure in the solution 2 M HNO3+1 M HF with the ultrasound vibration exposure of intensity 9.6 Wt/cm2 for 120 s.
EFFECT: method provides the developed surface morphology and uniformity.
