FIELD: electroplating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating and can be used in medical equipment, particularly in traumatology and orthopaedics. Titanium surface modification method involves chemical treatment of the outer surface of the plate. For this purpose, titanium plate of “ВТ1-0” grade is used and its electrochemical treatment is performed. Plate surface is subjected to controlled polarization in 0.1 M phosphate-alkaline buffer solution with pH 6.0–9.0 at anode potential of 500–1,500 mV relative to silver chloride electrode and temperature of 18–40 °C for 3–90 minutes.

EFFECT: method provides stimulation of fibroblast growth for activation of regeneration processes in the body, promotes their adhesion on the surface of the titanium plate and intensive reproduction at the boundary of the titanium plate and the nutrient medium; this will allow using the invention in developing a promising line of metal structures for osteosynthesis in implantology for creating artificial implants with given functional properties of long-term functioning.
