FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalytic reactor comprising two plates arranged in parallel via preset spacing to form the fluid path, channel element connected with plates in said path to divide it into channels, and catalyst carrier fitted in every channel to extend there along. At least one pair of plates makes the first heat exchange surface in contact with heat carrier that features temperature mode other than that in aforesaid path, and exchanges heat with heat carrier. Every channel has cross-section where for factor W/H, i.e. width-to-height ratio, equals 1 or is smaller than 1 while catalyst carrier includes wavy substrate of uniform structure, and catalyst located at substrate surface.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of heat exchange and reaction.
