FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of double-base pellet powder for sports and hunting weapons. According to the invention, a phlegmatising apparatus is filled with water, pellet powder is immersed and the suspension is heated to temperature of 76-82°C while stirring; simultaneously, a phlegmatising aqueous emulsion, consisting of dinitrotoluene, centralite I and a protective colloid with concentration in water of 2.0-3.5 wt %, is prepared in an emulsifier for 20-30 minutes. At temperature of 76-82°C, the phlegmatising emulsion is poured into the phlegmatising apparatus and the powder is phlegmatised. While phlegmatising the powder, a phlegmatising emulsion consisting of water, triethylene glycol phthalate (MGF-9) and a protective colloid is prepared in the emulsifier. At temperature of 76-82°C and at the end of the time of phelgmatising the powder in the phlegmatising apparatus with a mixture of dinitrotoluene and centralite I, the emulsion of water and MGF-9 is poured from the emulsifier into the phlegmatising apparatus and re-phlegmatisation of the pellet powder is carried out. Phlegmatisation is carried out using pellet powder with size of powder elements of 0.315-0.63 mm and packed density of 0.970-0.990 kg/dm³.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain pellet powder for a 7,62x51S hunting and sports cartridge with a heavy 12 g bullet.
