FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of obtaining spherical gunpowders (SGP) for small arms, for example hunting cartridge 7.62x51 (308Wm). Method of SGP retarding, includes loading components into reactor-retarder, preparation of retarding emulsion in emulsifier and retarding spherical gunpowder in reactor-retarder after introduction of retarding emulsion from emulsifier. Water-gunpowder suspension, which by pipeline circulates in closed cycle by means of mass pump, is pre-prepared in agitator. If necessary SGP sample is taken from circulation pipeline into thickener, where water-gunpowder suspension is prepared, and then from thickener suspension is poured out into reactor-retarder. Simultaneously rated quantity of retarding emulsion is discharged from emulsifier into reactor-retarder and process of SGP retarding is carried out.
EFFECT: method ensures safe conducting of technological process due to mechanisation and automation of retarding phase and total exclusion of hand work, reduction of labor consumption and prime costs in production of spherical gunpowders.
