FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diagnostic medicine and can be used for predicting development of diabetic osteoarthropathy. Coefficient of diabetic osteoarthropathy prediction (CDOAP) is determined as ratio of indices of rate of ultrasound wave passage on lower third of tibial bone to rate of ultrasound wave passage on lower third of radial bone. If CDOAP is lower than 0.98, development of diabetic osteoarthropathy is predicted.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to carry out in due time prophylaxis in case of diabetic osteoarthropathy.
