FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used for producing components of pipeline shutoff valves and accessories from brass. Work pieces are cut from brass rod, heated to 700°C and stamped at crank hot stamping press in one pass. Produced forged-pieces are subjected to shot blasting with cast steel 0.3-0.5 mm-dia shots for at least 4 minutes. Part inner and outer shape as well as thread are produced by turning. Then PVD method is used to apply decorative titanium 1-2.5 mcm-thick coating is applied on part outer surface.
EFFECT: higher quality of brass parts, lower labor input.
