FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry, particularly to polymer-based synthetic latex for outer coating of building structures. The polymer-based synthetic latex, which is dispersed in water, contains an emulsifier with dispersed particle content of 40-60% of the total weight, where the base is a dispersion of a polysulphide polymer obtained by polycondensation of sodium polysulphide with a mixture of organic monomers: either 1,2-dichloroethane and 1,2-dichloropropane; or 1,2-dichloroethane and 2,2'-dichlorodiethylformal; or 2,2'-dichlorodiethylformal and 1,2,3-trichloropropane, with molar ratio of sodium polysulphide to the monomer mixture of 1.07:1.00, respectively. A method of producing synthetic latex is also provided.
EFFECT: invention prolongs the service life of building structures.
