SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for the preparation of polysulphide. Described is a process for the preparation of a polysulphide, comprising a step of reacting bis(2-dihaloalkyl)formyl and dihaloalkane with sodium sulphide in the presence of a prepolymer of structure (I): X-(R2-O)n-CH2-O-(R1-O)m-CH2-(O-R2)p-X (I), in which R1 and R2 may be the same or different and are selected from alkane chains containing 2-10 carbon atoms, X is a halogen atom and n, m and p are integers which may be the same or different and have a value in the range of 1-6. Also disclosed is a process for the preparation of polysulphide, comprising a step of reacting bis(2-dihaloalkyl)formal and dihaloalkane with sodium polysulphide in the presence of a prepolymer obtained by reacting a polyol with (para)formaldehyde and a haloalcohol in the presence of an acid catalyst.
EFFECT: technical result is the preparation of polysulphide with improved chemical stability and compatibility with a variety of polar surfaces and plasticisers.
