FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: flat steel product made from steel containing 0.3-3 wt % of manganese, having the yield point of 150-1100 MPa and tensile strength of 300-1200 MPa is covered with corrosion protection coating from ZnNi alloy by an electrolytic method, which consists of a single phase γ-ZnNi and contains, together with zinc and inevitable impurities, 7-15 wt % of nickel. Then, a billet is obtained from flat steel product and immediately heated at least up to the temperature of 800°C, and then, a steel component is formed, or first, a steel component is formed, which is then heated at least up to 800°C. Steel component obtained in the corresponding cases is finally hardened by rather quick cooling due to rather high temperature.

EFFECT: providing good adhesion of the coating and reliable corrosion protection.
