FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to production of baths for operation with electrolytes having neutral, alkaline and acid environment at the temperature of up to 80-90 °C, as well as to washing baths, tanks for storage and processing of corrosive liquids and wastes. A bath includes a metal housing with an inner protective coating that is made in the form of composite material from polyimide cloth of non-woven structure and lacquer on the basis of chlorosulphonated polyethylene in the form of 20% of the solution in toluene, ethyl acetate or solvent with vulcanising additives, which is applied in three layers. The method involves formation of an internal protective coating on a metal housing, which is obtained by application of polyimide cloth of non-woven structure on raw epoxy putty pre-applied to inner surface of the housing with an overlap in the place of seams and by saturation of overlaps with the above putty, and application onto polyimide cloth of non-woven structure of three layers of the above lacquer.
EFFECT: invention allows providing effective protection of a bath against corrosion in any corrosive environments and simplifying the bath production and its repair.
