SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biocides. Composition for mediated contact with food includes 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one, dispersed in water medium. Its quantity constitutes from 5 to 40% by weight in terms of claimed composition weight. Composition additionally includes one or more polysaccharides in quantity from 0.5 to 1.5% by weight in terms of claimed composition weight. Said polysaccharide is dissolved in said water medium. Claimed composition does not contain surface-active compound or claimed composition includes one or more surface-active compounds in quantity less, than 0.4% by weight in terms of claimed composition weight.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase stability and reduce viscosity of composition.
