FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology. Substance of the invention consists in the fact that a pharmaceutical composition for preventing a proliferative cell-mediated response, containing Mytomycin C, sodium chloride and water for injections, additionally comprises microcrystalline cellulose as a gelling material. The composition is suggested for prevention the proliferative cell-mediated response in surgical management of glaucoma, pterygium, and refractive surgeries.
EFFECT: composition reduces the toxic effect of the preparation Mytomycin C on the tissues adjacent to an operative site, prevents the deterioration of an expected surgical outcome, and reduces the length of the patients' rehabilitation period.
