FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: valve assembly comprises a valve body with a valve seat, a fluid medium passage extending through the valve body and a shifting element which includes a valve element and can work between the open position when the valve element is distanced from the valve seat and fluid medium can pass through the above-mentioned passage and the closed position when the valve element is closely sealed to the valve seat so that to prevent fluid medium from passing through the passage. Additionally the valve assembly forms a path for fluid medium flow which in the first fluid medium passing mode goes between the valve element and the valve seat and to the fluid medium passage. Additionally the valve assembly comprises a barrier which is set so that in the first fluid medium passing mode the obtained fluid medium passes through to the barrier and is deflected round the valve element outline by the barrier.
EFFECT: one or more forces which could affect the valve element and press it to the closed position due to passing of fluid medium behind the valve element in the first fluid medium passing mode are decreased or eliminated.
