FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises trench excavation, trench width making about two pipeline diameters, laying the pipeline to make it rest on elastoplastic elements using extra safety device, and backfilling the trench. Pipeline laid on said elastoplastic elements is covered from top by steel sheets curved upward, arranged with clearance above pipeline and provided with vertical sheets welded to their bottom parts, their height making their top edges exceeding those of steel sheets curved upward, to make vertical sheet bottom edges bent to pipeline resting on trench bottom. Elastoplastic element width is taken with allowance for their side edges contact with vertical sheet bend edges. Lugs are welded to sheet top part to be gripped in pipeline repair.

EFFECT: simplified pipeline laying, higher safety in operation.
