FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: throat bacterial count and mouth wipe immunoglobulin A (IgA) content are determined alongside with nasal wipe immunoglobulin A, nasal wipe total microbial count, eosinophil and neutrophil proportions shown by the rhinocytogram, and a diagnostic coefficient (U) is determined by formula. If U falls within the range of -0.4 to 0.3, the absence of any airway mucosa involvements are stated, i.e. the patient appears to be healthy; the U value being more than 0.31 and less than 0.69, the patient is referred to an airway mucosa involvement risk group; and provided U is more than 0.7 and less than 1.4, the presence of the airway mucosa involvements are stated in the form of a remitted chronic pharyngeal pathology.
EFFECT: improved assessment procedure.
