FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology and allergology, and aims at assessing the composition of nasal mucosa biopsy material. Brush microbiopsy of the nasal mucosa is performed, and a universal brush probe of type A2 is moved and moved to a posterior end of the inferior nasal concha. Obtained microbiopsy material is applied on a slide, after drying the preparation in air, fixing in a fixative-dye eosin methylene blue according to May-Grünwald for 1 minute and, after washing, the preparations are stained by Romanowsky-Giemsa for 3–5 minutes. Microscopy is performed under immersion, in which epithelial cells are counted with percentage determination of cylindrical ciliated epithelium - functional epithelium and flat - non-functional epithelium. Leukocytes are analysed with leukocyte count, percentage ratio of neutrophils, eosinophils and lymphocytes is determined, exudative reaction is analysed by presence of mucus in smear: insignificant, moderate, significant, epithelium and leukocyte composition of microbiopsy material is determined by the number of cells in the visual field: namely 1–5 cells in the visual field - insignificantly; 6–15 cells in the field of view - moderately; 16 and more cells in the field of view is significant.
EFFECT: invention provides assessing the state of the epithelium of the nasal mucosa for the purpose of its possible remodelling and correction of the therapeutic approach.
