FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: cylindrical epithelial cells of nasal mucosa are applied on slides, and a rotavirus antigen is detected by slide processing with fluorescent anti-viral immunoglobulin conjugates prepared of blood serum of a rabbit immunised by G1P6 rotavirus.
EFFECT: use of the technique and fluorescent immunoglobulin conjugate enables simplifying and providing more available diagnostics of rotavirus infection in materials of the upper respiratory airways.
