FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: mirror has a flexible mirror sheet mounted on a pneumatic system consisting of gas-filled pneumatic chambers which are pneumatically connected to each other. The pneumatic chambers have a shape close to spherical; all pneumatic chambers are situated in an inner gas-filled shell; the pneumatic chambers are pneumatically connected to each other through valves which provide gas access from a gas source into the inner cavity of the pneumatic chambers and prevent outlet of gas from the inner cavity of the pneumatic chambers.
EFFECT: simple design of a mirror with a given curvature, simple adjustment of the curvature of the mirror, high reliability and larger surface area of the mirror.
