FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic-inductive flow metre has a pressure-resistant housing made of polymer material, having a measuring unit which has measuring channel (31) with a rectangular cross-section through which the measured fluid medium flows, a channel wall (32), two opposite magnetic poles (10) on the channel wall (32), an electromagnet with an exciting coil (26) and a magnetic core (27) for generating an alternating magnetic field and two opposite measuring electrodes (34) in the channel wall (32). The magnetic poles (10) are die moulded, flexibly folded parts of electrical sheet steel in form of longitudinally elongated strips (11') with moulded surface elements (10.1, 10.2) spaced apart. Said strip (11') forms a double edge after folding. After bending, the surface elements (10.1, 10.2) form magnetic pole working surfaces. The double edge (11) and the magnetic pole working surfaces form a magnetic pole (10). The double edge (11) is situated on the rear side of the magnetic pole (10).
EFFECT: providing uniform distribution of magnetic field lines on the entire working surface of the pole.
