FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: magnetic-inductive flow metre has a pressure-resistant housing made of polymer material, having an inlet pipe (10), an outlet pipe (20), and a measuring unit (30) in between. The measuring unit (30) has a measuring channel (31) with a wall (32), through which the measured fluid medium flows, two opposite magnetic poles (2) on the measuring channel (31) and two opposite measuring electrodes (1) in the channel wall (32), directed perpendicular to the magnetic poles (2). The channel wall (32), taking into account the maximum allowable internal pressure for the selected polymer material, is cut in the region of the magnetic poles (2) to an allowable value. An inner reinforcing frame, consisting of at least two inner cross bulkheads (37) and at least two inner longitudinal edges (38), stabilises the channel wall (32). An outer reinforcing frame, consisting of at least two first outer longitudinal edges (40), holds and stabilises the inner reinforcing frame and firmly connects the measuring unit (30) with the inlet pipe (10) and the outlet pipe (20).
EFFECT: providing a uniform magnetic field of optimum strength in the region of magnetic lines, as well as a polymer housing which withstands internal pressure from the measured fluid medium, tensile stress, as well as thermal and mechanical loads.
