FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: device to excite a high-frequency flare discharge comprises a dielectric tube installed in a slot of a dielectric flange, in the axial hole of which there is a hollow power electrode so that its dead sharpened end is arranged inside the cylindrical dielectric tube, and the other end of the power electrode is arranged outside the limits of the dielectric tube and is electrically connected with the high-voltage electrode of the high-frequency generator. The end of the power electrode arranged outside the limits of the dielectric tube is equipped with two nozzles. The first nozzle arranged on the external end of the power electrode is connected with the system of water supply. The second nozzle aligned perpendicularly to the axis of the power electrode is connected with a sewage system. On the power electrode radially, at the sharp angle to its axis, there is an additional electrode, the end of which is sharpened and directed towards the area of contact of the dielectric tube and the external electrode, which with its concave side covers a part of the external surface of the dielectric tube. The external electrode is installed on the first end of the bar, capable of displacement in parallel to the axis of the dielectric tube, and the second end of the bar, via an electric insulating insert fixed on it, is connected with a drive.

EFFECT: reduced voltage necessary for excitation of a barrier discharge initiating a high-frequency flare discharge.
