FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, particularly, to control over ship buoyancy and stability and can be used for determination of large-size cargo weight. Proposed method comprises installing the ship at keel blocks mounted at shipway between which lifting means are mounted in symmetry with the ship centerline plane, said means being composed of vessels made of elastic airtight material to be inflated by compressed air and inner air pressure therein to be measured. Said lifting means are place on shipway parallel with ship centerline plate so that contact sports are uniformly distributed at ship bottom. Vessels are filled with compressed air unless ship is lifted above shipway so that at ship inclination through maximum tolerable careen angle no contact between ship bottom and keel blocks. Then, ship in inclined through angle θ by uniform air pumping from the vessels arranged on one side from centerline plane. Internal pressure pi and area of spots of contact between vessel and ship bottom Fi and y-coordinate of contact spot center of gravity are measured for every vessel relative to centerline plane ypi, thereafter resultant forces of reaction of vessels, ship weight and z-coordinate are calculated.
EFFECT: higher accuracy, decreased labor and time input.
