FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: transformer comprises multi-phase primary and secondary windings and laminated inner and outer magnetic conductors. The latter is made from stamped sheets of electric steel of two types having identical outer diameter and slots open at the side of the outer perimetre with edges expanding at the angle near the outer perimetre. The width of the expanding part of the slot near sheets of the inner magnetic conductor is less than in sheets of the second type. When assembled in a packet, the sheets are installed, alternating in the axial direction. The external magnetic conductor is made in the form of large and small wedge inserts, side edges of which are arranged at the same angle as the edges of the expanding part of slots in the sheets of the inner magnetic conductor. Width of small wedge inserts corresponds to the width of the expanding part of the slot in sheets of the inner magnetic conductor of the first type, and width of large wedge inserts corresponds to the width of the part of the slot in the sheets of the inner magnetic conductor of the second type. The method of transformer assembly is provided.
EFFECT: reduced losses in a magnetic conductor, increased efficiency factor.
