SUBSTANCE: trimmer is provided, which is equipped with a cutting blade and a protective casing made with the ability to close partially the cutting blade. The protective casing comprises a main housing and moving apart part made with the ability of detachable fixing to the main housing. One of the elements comprising the main housing or the moving apart part of the protective casing is provided with a snapping site, and the other element is provided with an engaging hole made with the ability of taking engagement of the snapping site at the inner side and opening the engaged snapping site from the outside. The engaging hole has a size which enables the passage of the tool, but prevents the passage of a finger. Accordingly, it requires at least one tool for detaching the moving apart part.

EFFECT: increased reliability of fixing and providing safety during operation.
