FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely systems for electrical nerve stimulation and to cochlear implants. A method for simultaneous electrode stimulation consists in calculating the electrode pulse amplitudes of the multiple-channel matrix using the parameters of spatial channel distribution. The calculation is based on the spatially independent pulse responses characterised by the first exponential decay of constant a of the first side of the electrode and the second exponential decay of constant β of the second side of the electrode. The pulse amplitudes to record the spatially dependent pulse responses are calculated additionally by the spatially dependent weight ratios cn (n=1, 2, …, N). A cochlear implant system comprises the multiple-channel electrode matrix and a stimulator. The system also comprises a machine-readable carrier to implement a method for activation.
EFFECT: using the invention enables improving the cochlear implant operation and speech perception.
