COCHLEAR PROSTHETIC SYSTEM, STIMULATION SYSTEM AND MACHINE-READABLE INFORMATION CARRIER (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61N1/36 A61F11/04 H04R25/00

Abstract RU 2440156 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric neurostimulators. Stimulation system, containing stimulator, which has multi-channel matrix of electrodes, using monopolar electrode configuration. Processor is functionally connected to stimulator. Processor is made with possibility to determine sequence of canal interaction (CI) with application of simultaneous, concerted by pulse sign and canal interaction compensation. CI sequence has rhythm and average CI pulse amplitude, and forms resulting potentials, which are equivalent to desired potentials in specified positions relative to multi-channel matrix. CI sequence can contain time intervals between pulses, processor being made with possibility to increase rhythm of CI pulses in such a way that time interval between pulses is reduced. In addition, processor is made with possibility to reduce amplitude of CI sequence amplitude with increase of pulse phase duration, so that the charge carried by each pulse remains unchanged and time interval between pulses is reduced.

EFFECT: application of invention makes it possible to reduce energy consumption during stimulation and reduce implant supply voltage.
