FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: system and method for generation of stimulating signals by electrodes of implanted multi-channel electrode array of cochlear implant include processing of acoustic signal within hearing range by a group of filters. Each filter within the group is connected to at least one channel having an electrode. The group of filters include the first pass-band filter which generates a broadband signal b(t) and which range of frequency covers at least one of the following ranges: range of voice pitch frequency (100 Hz-400 Hz) and range of the first vowel formant (400 Hz-1000 Hz). At least one electrode connected to the first pass-band filter is actuated by stimulating signals sent to electrodes which depend at least partially on the broadband signal b(t) to present time data of thin structure.

EFFECT: possibility to avoid distortion stipulated by mutual influence of adjoining channels operating simultaneously which contain time data of thin structure.
