FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and a radar station for determining the moment of issuing a command to launch a defence weapon. The method involves establishing the moment of issuing a command to launch a defence weapon at the onset and detection by the radar station of a signal with a specific differential frequency. The chirp signal emitted by the radar station is artificially delayed by a known time and the signal with a specific differential frequency is determined by the radar station after mixing the reflected and emitted chirp signals. The radar station includes a transmit-receive antenna, a mixer, a chirp signal transmitter, a differential frequency filter and a narrow-band signal detector. The input of the transmit-receive antenna is connected through a delay element to the high-power output of the chirp signal transmitter.
EFFECT: high reliability of determining the moment of issuing a command to launch a defence weapon.
