FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: emergency signalling device has a communication unit for transmitting the emergency signal to a receiving device outside the vehicle, wherein the emergency signal is transmitted at least in part over a voice channel; a control device for controlling the communication unit. At the onset of a defined event, the control device is configured to generate a set of data which is then transmitted during the emergency signal, said defined event being a data request from said receiving device outside the vehicle, to the control device during transmission of the emergency signal. The data request is based on a given continuous sequence of tones from top to bottom.

EFFECT: preparing an improved vehicle emergency signal which particularly corresponds to varying conditions.
