FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing NiO/C composite material, which contains 1-99% NiO and is in form of aggregates of β-NiO nanoparticles uniformly distributed on the surface of a carbon support, is based on producing NiO nanoparticles through electrochemical oxidation and decomposition of nickel electrodes in solutions of alkali metal hydroxides under the effect of asymmetric alternating pulsed current with frequency of 50 Hz at different ratios of current densities of the anode and cathode half-periods, with simultaneous deposition of the formed NiO nanoparticles on a carbon support, followed by filtering the obtained composite suspension, washing the composite with distilled water and drying at temperature of 90°C.

EFFECT: high quality of the obtained material due to absence of impurities while reducing power consumption during production thereof.
