FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: systems and methods provide network synchronisation status information to a terminal when the terminal receives data transmitted from the network. The network synchronisation status can be indicated through various methods including, but not limited to the following: with a status flag in a network message; in a network capability indication; in a network positioning capability indication; cell/network time relation information; in time relation information of different radio access technologies; and implicitly with request for another parameter and/or a specific measurement. After determining the network synchronisation status, accurate time information/time assistance data can be maintained at the terminal.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining synchronisation status.
