SUBSTANCE: heterogeneous ethylene polymerisation catalyst is used, said catalyst being a product of decomposition of tetracyclopentadienylzirconium with oxygen and air moisture for 1-10 days and is a polymer compound. The tetracyclopentadienylzirconium can be deposited on the surface of an inert inorganic or organic polymer support.
EFFECT: catalyst enables to obtain polyethylenes of medium and high density from ethylene as the only raw material using a single-reactor scheme with the capacity to control chemical composition of the polymer product in a wide range.
