FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides a method of producing a master batch which contains more than 0 wt % and up to 70 wt % carbon black with DBP absorption of at least 200 ml/100 g, a thermoplastic polymer and optionally other additives. The method includes the following steps: mixing in a random order successively or simultaneously at high temperature of the liquid medium the carbon black, thermoplastic polymer and optionally additives, where the liquid medium is ultimately present in an amount of more than 0 wt % and up to 80 wt %, per total weight of the carbon black and thermoplastic polymer; subsequently cooling and granulating the composition; separating the liquid medium by extraction with a solvent; and drying the composition. The liquid medium is selected from a group consisting of phthalates, amines, amides, triethyl phosphate, tricresyl phosphate, acetyl tributyl citrate, dioctyl adipate, epoxidated soya bean oil and glycol, 1,3-propanediol, 1,4-butanediol, 2,3-butanediol, hexylene glycol, 1,5-pentanediol, glycerine, monoethers, diethers and esters of glycols, C8-C12 alcohols, paraffins and soya bean oil. Also disclosed is a method of producing electroconductive thermoplastic polymer compositions, which involves steps of producing a master batch and hen mixing said master batch with a thermoplastic polymer.
