SUBSTANCE: method of making pelleted fuel for fuel cells involves preparing a doping composition containing 5…10% Al(OH)3+30…40% Gd(OH)3, the balance - UO2, mixing uranium dioxide powder with a plasticiser and the doping composition in amounts which provide in the final mixture (moulding powder) content of Al(OH)3 and Gd(OH)3 of 0.5-2.0 wt % and 3.0-8.0 wt % respectively, moulding pellets from the obtained moulding powder and sintering.
EFFECT: obtaining pelleted fuel with uranium dioxide grain size of 30-50 mcm and with low content of open pores.
