FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: two-layer coat is deposited in vacuum-plasma process on hard alloy plate. Titanium and aluminium nitrides are applied to make bottom layer while nitrides of niobium and molybdenum or niobium and aluminium alloyed with zirconium make bottom layer. Both layers are applied at 600°C and nitrogen pressure of 4.3·10-4 Pa. After application of top layer nitrogen is evacuated from the chamber to force air therein and to cool chamber with inserts.
EFFECT: higher wear resistance.
